February 1, 2007 Happy New Year!I hope the first newsletter of 2007 finds you doing well and staying busy! We are excited about the Queen City ACHMM for 2007. We are still putting the finishing touches on the 2007 Operational Plan, however, we have already secured two exciting tours and several interesting and informative speakers. As always, any Chapter Member is welcome to host a meeting or a tour of their facility, just let a board member know. The 2007 Queen City ACHMM Board Members are as follows: Stuart Kerkhoff – President Christina Field – Vice-President Mike Phillips – Treasurer Margot Rott – Secretary Ron Horton – Director (3rd Year) Dewitt Whitten – Director (2nd Year) Mitzi Stewart – Director (1st Year) Annie Richardson – Immediate Past President First Chapter Meeting The First Chapter Meeting of 2007 will be held on Tuesday February 20, 2007 at 6:00 pm at the Open Kitchen, 1318 West Morehead Street, Charlotte. You can get directions to the Open Kitchen on the website. Our speaker details are still being finalized. We will conduct a business meeting to discuss several important issues that affect the Chapter as well as unveil the 2007 Operational Plan. So, please plan on attending. If you aren’t already aware of it, the Queen City ACHMM won the website of the Year Award for 2006 at the National ACHMM Conference in Orlando, Florida in September. This is a great accomplishment and our thanks go out to our web designer, Jim Reece. So, if you haven’t seen our award or the website, please check it out at The Chapter also received its five (5) year service award at the National ACHMM Conference. The Chapter wouldn’t be five (5) years old if it weren’t for your support, so, lets keep the Chapter going for another five (5) years by your continued support.
